This Privacy Policy explains how Brave & Hungry GmbH ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information in relation to our desktop application Firelize (the "Software") and our related services, including our website and account management portal (collectively, the "Services").
This policy also outlines your rights regarding your personal data.
Firelize operates on a zero-knowledge basis concerning your Firebase project data. We never access, store, transmit, or process any details about your Firebase projects, databases, documents, authentication credentials (beyond what's necessary for the Firebase SDKs to operate locally), or storage files. All operations involving your Firebase project data are performed locally on your machine – never in our cloud.
Firelize communicates only with its license server to validate your license status. No information about your Firebase projects or how you use Firelize specifically with your project data is collected, transmitted, or stored by us through this process.

When you create an account and activate a license for Firelize, we collect your name and email address.
If you subscribe to Firelize, our payment processor Paddle will collect payment information necessary to process transactions, including your name, email address, and billing address. We may receive confirmation of payment and subscription status from the payment processor.
If you contact us for support, we collect your email address and any information you provide in your message.
We offer optional usage data sharing to help us improve Firelize. This is strictly opt-in (under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and consent can be withdrawn at any time in the Software's settings.
With consent, we may collect aggregated statistics like how often certain features are used. This data will never include Firebase project content or structure.
When Firelize checks your license, we may log your IP address, OS, Firelize version, and license key for validation and anti-fraud purposes. This occurs at startup and periodically.
We use Plausible for privacy-friendly analytics. It does not use cookies and collects only anonymized data such as page views and referrers. No personal data is collected.
We do not sell or rent your data. We may share your data only as described below:
Personal data may be processed outside the EEA, particularly by Postmark and some Google services. We use safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure adequate protection.
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data. However, no system can be 100% secure.
We retain your data while your account is active or as required for legal purposes. You may request deletion by contacting us.
